2012 년 – Part 9 – Final Observations

Well this post will be short.  I don’t really have much value to other’s in the quest to learn the korean language other than posting my progress.  I feel I’m slow at times but in looking at this web log that was one of the best things I’ve ever done. In one sense while sitting and reflecting it’s like a kick in the butt thinking damn this is all the progress I’ve made so far!  Why is that?  Well looking at the previous posts helps me to see both what has been wrong and what if anything I’ve done is right.

It’s been a tough year as I’ve posted but one thing though is I refuse to give up.  Hopefully with the things I’ve learned and cleaning up a number of things that got out of hand in 2012 I will be able to get this old clunky chevy pickup performing more like a sleak, efficent chevrolet corvette.  Learning of whatever type is very demanding and getting my body into better shape is of high priority.  Cutting back on distractions such as continual looking at forums for language learning methods and techniques has to be stopped.  Stopping activities where if preparation of materials starts to become a burden than stop period.

I think with what I know know now I will make a lot of progress this year.  What’s going to make the difference this year will be actual application of this knowledge.  It’s enough knowledge for this year to achieve what I want in korean learning and maybe in next year’s reflection I can sit back and think wow I kicked butt in 2013.  That’s the goal…..with all the support of my family both here and korea…I won’t let you down!  Well that’s enough reflection.  Here’s to a great 2013 for all us korean language learners!
